Paulette Edwards was joined on BBC Radio Sheffield today by Sheffield Hospitals Charity CEO Beth Crackles and grateful patient Richard Patton, talking about his motivation to donate to Sheffield Hospitals Charity.

Richard, former patient at the Northern General Hospital, donated £10,803 to Sheffield Hospitals Charity to fund an arm and leg bike designed for rehabilitation following a catastrophic cycling accident in the Peak District.

The charity were able to discuss Richard's desire to give back to the staff that helped him recover and match it to the state-of-the-art equipment that will benefit future patients like Richard.
