Helping a local charity, which touches the lives of thousands of people everyday, can provide real benefits for your business. It sends a positive message to your staff and customers that you are serious about your community and social responsibility.
The level of support can vary, some examples include:
Charity of the Year You could choose to nominate us as your charity partner for a year or longer. Our Senior Corporate Fundraiser will work closely with you to develop a programme of activity that staff are able to get involved with and work on together.This not only raises funds, but helps motivate staff and build relationships between teams.
Beneficiary EventIf your business is holding an event (such as an annual company dinner or golf day) you could make it a charity event and donate the proceeds to Sheffield Hospitals Charity.
Sponsorship
Each year we organise unique events which are available for sponsorship. This is a great way to support the Charity and also gain fantastic brand exposure for your company. Corporate DonationWe welcome business donations and can provide advise on the tax benefits of doing this. Your company might also like to consider donations in another form such as the donation of shares or land. Staff Fundraising
There are hundreds of ways for staff to raise money together. Here are some of the most popular ones:
- Dress down days
- Bail the Boss
- Golf day
- Cake sale
- Team challenges such as a sponsored run or bike ride
Lottery / Raffle
Sheffield Hospitals Charity can supply official tickets and all you then need to do is find some suitable prizes. Please note that that the charity does need to be informed prior to any raffle being held, owing to regulatory requirements.

Involving your customers
Many consumers would rather buy a product or service associated with a charity rather than one that wasn’t. One way of achieving this would be to donate a proportion of every sale to the Charity. This presents a great opportunity to market a product or service.
