Families of cardiac patients have been offered a lifeline as they are now offered a screening for potential inherited heart disorders when one of their close relatives is diagnosed with a heart problem.
Thanks to the generosity of supporters, the Charity has been able to fund a specialist nurse to screen them. Early diagnosis is vital because if left undetected some conditions could result in sudden death.
“The Inherited Cardiac Conditions Service has been fantastic. The specialist nurses are always on the end of the phone if I’m worried about anything. Before I was referred to the Service, I didn’t know what was wrong. Coming here was like discovering a wonderful oasis.” Christine.
