Research

Thanks to generous supporters like you, last year we were able to give £225,000 to innovative medical research right here in Sheffield.

We understand that cutting-edge research is vital to developments in patient care and treatment, which is why the research we support, is of the highest quality collaborations between clinicians, local universities and hospital staff in order to produce internationally recognised research that directly benefits patients.

Whether it is pioneering research into Stem Cell Therapies that have enabled patients with multiple sclerosis to walk again, testing new medications for polycystic kidney disease or finding a cure for the terminal blood cancer myeloma, your support is helping our patients live longer and more comfortably by finding cures, more effective treatments and earlier methods of diagnosis across healthcare.
