Sheffield Hospitals Charity is seeking to appoint new Trustees

Do you want to make a real difference to the lives of patients in Sheffield and across our region?

Sheffield Hospitals Charity helps patients being treated for almost every condition across all of the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (STH) sites. We work with our NHS partners to provide an outstanding healthcare experience, with the best possible outcome, for our patients. We improve the care and treatment of thousands of patients by investing over £2 million a year in equipment, research, people, patient support services and the transformation of our hospital environments.

It is an exciting time to join the Charity as in April this year we agreed a new Strategic Plan to double our grant investments into vital services across our Sheffield hospitals and community services and we need your help to deliver this.

To help us achieve more, we are seeking to appoint the following new Trustees:

A medic and senior nurse or allied health professional with interest in Sheffield Teaching Hospitals

A GP practicing in the north Sheffield

An experienced clinical researcher

Fundraising professional

The roles are unpaid, but will be a rewarding and fulfilling experience.

We are committed to promoting equal opportunities in employment. You and any applicants will receive equal treatment regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. We want our Board of Trustees to be as diverse as the communities we serve and therefore we particularly welcome applications from women, the local Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities, and from people with a disability.

If you would be interested in exploring this further, please download the application pack for further information.

Informal enquiries can be directed to David Reynolds, Executive Director on 0114 2266722 or 07772 817265 or [email protected] .

Closing date for applications is 9am Wednesday 2nd January 2019. Interviews will be during January 2019
