Sheffield Hospitals Charity is seeking to appoint a Finance Trustee

Do you want to make a real difference to the lives of patients in Sheffield and across our region?

Sheffield Hospitals Charity helps patients being treated for almost every condition across all of the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (STH) sites. We work with our NHS partners to provide an outstanding healthcare experience, with the best possible outcome, for our patients. We improve the care and treatment of thousands of patients by investing over £2 million a year in equipment, research, people, patient support services and the transformation of our hospital environments.

This is an exciting time to join the charity as we have just successfully completed the first year of our 5 year Strategic Plan to double our grant investments into vital services across Sheffield hospitals and community services. We have also recently rebranded the Charity with a new modern look and feel.

To help us achieve more, we are seeking to appoint a Finance Trustee who is able to contribute to the Board of Trustees and Chair our quarterly Finance and Performance Committee.

The roles are unpaid, but provide prospective candidates with a rewarding and fulfilling experience, contributing towards important healthcare services in Sheffield.

We are committed to promoting equal opportunities in employment. You and any applicants will receive equal treatment regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. We want our Board of Trustees to be as diverse as the communities we serve and therefore we particularly welcome applications from the local Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities, and from people with a disability.

Closing date for applications is Monday 5th August 2019 at 9am.
