Colleagues at local Co-op stores across Sheffield have completed their Walk for Wards challenge to raise funds to support the NHS in Sheffield.

The team of staff members set off on their challenge as part of our annual Walk for Wards event. All of them wanted to do their bit to say 'thank you' for the amazing work that the NHS has done for all of us over recent months.

Members of the group walked to ALL Co-op food and funeral care stores in North Sheffield on Monday 28 September - walking over 11 miles all to do their bit for the NHS when it is most needed.

Speaking after the challenge, Co-op Member Pioneer, Debbie Roberts, said:

"The NHS has been helping and caring for members of our communities at all times, but particularly over the past few months. We know the pressures that it has come under and we wanted to do our bit.

"More so than ever, we are really appreciative of the NHS so taking part in this challenge was the least that we can do.

"We are pleased to have finished it and we are so grateful for the kind support that people have shown. But we want to raise as much money as we can for our amazing NHS - so please give us your support!"

As part of the group's fundraising efforts, they have created a JustGiving page which can be found here.
