The Jessop Wing will be lit in pink and blue every night to raise awareness of pregnancy and baby loss in the UK

Baby Loss Awareness Week starts on the 9th October 2020 and aims to bring together bereaved parents, their families and their friends to commemorate their babies' lives. It also raises awareness of pregnancy and baby loss in the UK and is an opportunity to drive for improvements in both care and support for those affected and in the prevention of pregnancy and baby loss.

In recognition of the week, the Jessop Wing will be lit in pink and blue every night. The Royal Hallamshire and Northern General Hospitals will also be lit up every evening, along with Meadowhall, the Central Library and parts of the University of Sheffield.

The Jessop Wing Bereavement Service supports over 250 bereaved families each year following miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal death.
