1. By entering the SHC Lottery, entrants agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
  2. SHC Lottery is promoted by and on behalf of Sheffield Hospitals Charity, registered in England & Wales Charity no. 1169762, Company no. 10422654, as a Society Lottery under the Gambling Act 2005.
  3. SHC is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission (www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk) under Society Lottery Operating Account number 48646.
  4. To enter the lottery, you must be resident in Great Britain and aged 18 (eighteen) years or over.
  5. It is an offence to buy or purport to buy a lottery entry on behalf of anyone under the age of 18 (eighteen) years of age.
  6. All lottery entries are priced at £1 each.
  7. Each lottery number is unique. A randomly selected six digit lottery number will be issued with the confirmation of entry.
  8. All lottery entry sales are final and no refunds shall be made at any time. All entrants acknowledge that their payment of £1 per entry does not guarantee that they will win any prize.
  9. Full payment for each lottery entry must be received in the form of cleared funds before the lottery number can be entered into the draw. Only entries for which full payment has been received is eligible to win a prize.
  10. Management of the SHC Lottery is overseen by our External Lottery Manager – The Fundraising Foundry.
  11. Prize winners will be identified by matching the player’s numbers to the first six digits of the weekly Saturday draw of the Germany Spiel 77 Lottery.
  12. Prizes are allocated on the following basis:

6 number match - £25,000
Match the first or last 5 numbers - £1,000
Match the first or last 4 numbers - £100
Match the first or last 3 numbers - £10

  1. Winning numbers will be published on the SHC website.
  2. All entrants are solely responsible for providing SHC with their accurate and up to date contact details and SHC will be in no way liable for any failure or inability to contact any entrant due to any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the contact details that the entrant has provided. In the event that an entrant changes their contact details, they will be solely responsible for advising SHC of the change.
  3. SHC is committed to protecting members’ privacy. Data that is collected from members is used lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and is used solely by SHC to communicate with supporters. This may include lottery payment queries, informing winners that they have won a prize, sending newsletters and fundraising appeals.
  4. Any member has the right to access the information held about them. To obtain this information, please contact SHC in writing.
  5. SHC will not sell, rent or grant access of any personal data to any third party without express prior permission.
  6. SHC Lottery membership can be cancelled at any time by notifying SHC in writing, by phone or via email.
  7. Any complaints relating to the SHC Lottery should be sent in writing to: Sheffield Hospitals Charity, Wycliffe House, Herries Road, S5 7AT, or via email to [email protected], giving full details of the complaint and any supporting documentation.
  8. In the event of any dispute regarding the way the SHC Lottery is conducted, in the first instance, our External Lottery Manager will endeavour to rectify and resolve the complaint. In the event that the complaint is not resolved, SHC will then try to resolve the complaint. In the event that the complaint is still not resolved to the satisfaction of the complainant the matter will be referred to IBAS (Independent Betting Adjudication Service), an independent third party, in order that they can make a judgement.
  9. SHC reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these terms and conditions
  10. Participation in the SHC Lottery is a form of gambling. Participants are encouraged to gamble sensibly. If you feel you have a problem with gambling, we recommend you visit the Gamble Aware website (www.begambleaware.org) or call the GamCare National Helpline on 0808 8020 133.
  11. Some members may wish to exclude themselves from future play and SHC can assist members at any time if requested. If you wish to self exclude yourself from our lottery, please email: [email protected]
  12. SHC reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. If SHC does this, it will publish the amended terms and conditions on the website www.sheffieldhospitalscharity.org.uk/lottery
