Staff Support

Working in one of the country’s largest hospital trusts is no small task. We acknowledge this commitment to patient care by helping to provide a positive and supportive environment for staff to flourish in.

Thanks to your generous donations, each year around 300 members of hospital staff are able to expand their existing knowledge through specialist training, keep up to date with the latest medical advances and introduce new developments from across the world back into Sheffield to improve patient care.

We also support many of the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals health and well-being initiatives such as sponsoring the annual staff recognition Thank You awards, subscriptions to the mindfulness app Headspace and tools that allow staff to look after their physical health such as hydration bottles and running groups.

Below is just one of the many ways you support NHS staff…

Supporting Palliative Care staff

The Palliative Care team at our hospitals deliver outstanding end of life care to around 800 patients and their families every year.

We recognise that the nature of delivering end of life care is an emotionally and psychologically demanding role. So that staff can provide the very best support to those facing life-limiting conditions, your donations fund staff resilience training and pastoral support that enables staff to manage their well-being and continue to feel strong and healthy whilst providing the highest levels of care to those who need it
