Sheffield Hospitals Charity have rolled out the My Thank You initiative for Sheffield to thank NHS staff for their care.

My Thank You gives patients, their families & friends the opportunity to tell NHS staff what a difference they make with a simple and personal thank you message.

Anyone wanting to send their own message can access My Thank You by scanning a QR code on the promotional materials in the hospitals or by sending a free text using their mobile phone. This can also be done online by visiting the link below:

Say thank you to our NHS (mythankyou.org).

The form allows supporters to send a personal message of thanks to an individual or staff team. They can select a relevant ward or clinic and add the name or names of the team member or full team they want to thank.

Once the message of thanks has been written, there is also the option to leave a donation to Sheffield Hospitals Charity who use these funds to enhance staff and patient care across Sheffield’s NHS.

Beth Crackles, Chief Executive at Sheffield Hospitals Charity, said:

“We know from our Christmas campaign with Pete McKee that the people of Sheffield love to say thank you – and that their kind words were hugely motivating for NHS staff. We’re delighted to be rolling out My Thank You across Sheffield’s hospitals so that more people can give their thanks to our wonderful NHS.

People who make a donation after saying thanks can be reassured that their gift helps to improve the experiences of patients and NHS staff. From accommodation for parents of poorly babies on the neonatal intensive care unit to special cutlery so that patients can eat with dignity, and from NHS staff wellbeing spaces to cancer research, donations support the whole of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.”
